Prayer Requests:  If you have a prayer request, please call Alice Smith at 277-1344 Catholic Social Services NEEDS YOUR RAGS (Click for more information) CSS FOOD COLLECTION The   first   weekend   of   every   month is   dedicated   to   collecting   food   for Catholic      Social      Services.      The buckets    designated    for    CSS    will stay   in   the   vestibule   of   the   church to   collect   whatever   food   you   may wish   to   contribute.   Your   generous donations    of    food    help    the    less fortunate      in      the      Montgomery area. We    will    sing    the    Ordinaries     in Latin    at    all    Masses    on    the    first Sunday      of      each      month.      The Ordinaries   are   the   prayers   that   are sung   by   the   choir   and   parishioners at      every      Sunday      Mass.      These include   the   Kyrie,   Gloria   (Glory   to God   in   the   Highest),   the   responses at    the    end    of    the    readings    and Gospel,    the    Sanctus    (Holy,    Holy, Holy),       the       Mysterium       Fideii (Mystery   of   Faith),   and   the   Agnus Dei    (Lamb    of    God).    On    the    other Sundays   of   the   month   the   Ordinaries will be sung in English. PETER’S CHOIR SINGS FOR THE 10:30 AM MASS and rehearses on Wednesday evenings in the Choir room from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Please consider becoming part of St. Peter’s Choir as we praise God with our voices. CATHOLIC SOCIAL SERVICES continues to provide low-cost Legal Immigration Services at its Montgomery office. MONTGOMERY  CATHOLIC  PREPARATORY SCHOOL CAMPAIGN  The school  is planning improvements.  Click here for more information. THE CATHOLIC YOUNG ADULTS OF MONTGOMERY -  Fall Small Groups Signups - Young adults (ages 21-39) from all Montgomery and surrounding parishes are invited to join. A small group is a group of 8-12 people who meet regularly to grow in their faith and build community with other Catholic young adults. We will have a men's group, women's group, and a mixed group. Small groups first begin with a "Kickoff" on Thursday, August 31st at 6:30 in St. Bede's parish hall. This is when you'll meet your leader and other group members and get more details about your group, so it is very important that you are there. Please make sure you buy the book listed for your group. After the kickoff, you will meet with your group at their respective time and location. If you are interested or would like to sign up, please go to our website: www.cyamontgomery.com. Registration for small groups begins on August 17th and ends on August 23rd. Spots are limited, so it is first come, first served! DOMINICAN NUNS PROJECT  Our next food collection for the nuns in Marbury will be September 9-10 and the food will be delivered on Wednesday, September 13.  Non-perishable items arecollected every month. Please leave  your donations in the bins in the parish hall or at the Church office.  DEAD THEOLOGIANS SOCIETY  Beginning August 28, and every fourth Monday of the month, the Dead Theologians Society will meet at 7 PM in the Parish Hall to discuss various readings from Church Fathers, theologians, and other ecclesiastical writers. The first reading may be picked up in the vestibule  or can be emailed; if you prefer email copies. Please sign up in the vestibule. BLESSED TRINITY SHRINE RETREAT, FT. MITCHELL, ALABAMA is offering a weekend retreat entitled, “Becoming Fully Alive: Finding Our Music Inside Us” on September 1, 2017. The retreat begins on Friday with registration at 7:00 PM (Eastern time) and concludes with dinner at noon on Sunday. make Fee is $180.00 ($40 is non-refundable deposit).   ADULT BIBLE STUDY held in the parish hall at 9:00 a.m. every Sunday, or almost every Sunday. We use the Revised Standard Version of the text (the RSV is one of two translations approved by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops). Simply  to attend the class. No advance preparation or study is required. All are welcome.
